If you’re like me, most mornings are rush, rush, rush. That’s why I can’t spend 30 minutes on my makeup routine. I mean, yeah I could wake up earlier but I’m not going to skimp on some precious shut eye to get glammed to go to work. I work with the public so I have to look presentable so a little natural beat is a must. I keep it natural and neutral. Sometimes I’ll wear a bolder lip and the contouring is really new for me. I have to keep it elementary and this NYX highlight/contour duo is amazing. It’s creamy and easy to blend. I also love the Maybelline TattooStudio Eyebrow Gel because the color is such a great match for me and it’s easy to apply. I did a review on a previous post you might enjoy. After using this product, I found the Maybelline TattooStudio Brow Tint Pen which is great for the inner corners of your brows. The tip resembles that of the microblading needle and makes it easy to create those individual hair strokes. I just found that it took too long to make these strokes to fill in my whole eyebrow, so I fill in with the gel and then add the detail to the inner brow. This part of my routine probably takes me the longest. One quick tip that I also think you will benefit from is using your blender wet. It makes a world of difference. I soak my sponge, wring it out and then apply my foundation. It makes the product just glide and the blender just bounces off your skin. Also great for creating that dewy look. I absolutely love the dewy look, but I cannot pull it off. I have a lot of acne scars that I’m self-conscious about and I find that the dewy look just highlights your skin’s surface. That is why I always end my makeup routine with a bit of loose powder. I also love my Tarte x Aspyn Ovard eye-shadow and cheek palette. I started with ‘high school sweetheart’ on the whole lid and then added ‘ tea time’ on the outer corners of my lids. I finished the look with ‘married life’ to brighten the look. These shades are matte and compliment each other very well. Sometimes, if I’m feeling extra cheery, I’ll swipe some ‘endless summer’ on the inner lids. The shade is a really pretty shimmery gold. Unfortunately, this palette is sold out but make sure to follow me on Instagram or subscribe to this blog for updates.
